I guess you are familiar with the popular tool Google Earth. It’s a 3D view of the earth where you can zoom in and look at satellite photos of where you live. Today, Google launched another feature which can be reached from within Google Earth and it’s called Google Sky. This is not a joke despite it’s humorous name. With a simple click at the button “switch to sky” you can see 100 million stars and 200 million galaxies. They’re all included.
The images that makes Google Sky is reported to be one million and they’re taken from the Hubble Telescope. Never before has taking a tour through universe been so easy.
Microsoft has something similar in mind called World Wide Telescope but Google seams to have beat them.
