Governments all over the world hacked

August 30th, 2007 · No Comments

Secret passwords and usernames for a hundred governments and embassy has been posted on a Swedish website. Anybody who’ve seen the site have been able to access email accounts.

Among those who’s passwords have leaked is the Russian and the Indian embassy in Stockholm, and also the Iranian
Secretary of State.

The one who posted the information, Dan Egerstad, says he felt a responsibility to those government with security flaws in their system. When he called and informed about the problem no-one believed him so he posted the website. He wants them to act asĀ  fast as possible and has offered to help them without any cost. The most important thing, he said, is to solve the problem since others might have found the same security holes. He stated that he has not been using the information.

At the moment we do not have a link to the website.
