Adobe has announced the immediate availability of Adobe Reader 8.1.1 for Linux and Sparc Solaris. This new version has some updates and new features to both the user interface and performance.

The UI has received several new graphical changes and the page view space has been increased with only the most commonly used tools present in the toolbar. The launch time and performance in general has also been updated and speed up a bit.Adobe has added a search toolbar which always will be available.

The new features includes several new tools such as Loupe Tool, Pan and Zoom. Some new 2D and 3D measuring tools has also been added.
