The release date for  the next Service Pack for Office 2003 is today, September 18th, and Microsoft has announced that it is now available. This new update which is the third increases the overall stability and security in Office 2003 and also includes previously released fixes.

The bigfixes and new features can be read about in Microsoft’s article (923618): Description of Office 2003 Service Pack 3.

It is recommended to install Service Pack 3 as soon as possible.
